Tohatsu Corporation has signed an OEM Supply Agreement with Honda Motor Co. Ltd where Honda will supply a range of 4-Stroke Outboard Models from 60hp to 250hp under the Tohatsu Brand.

 

According to the Agreement for the 1st year, the Range will comprise of 60hp, 75hp, 90hp, 115hp, 150hp, 200hp, 225hp and 250hp with Tohatsu Brand Name and Tohatsu Aqua Marine Blue Colour.

 

Australian National Distributor, Lakeside Marine Pty Ltd, whom has been distributing Tohatsu Outboards for 25years, is extremely pleased with the options that will now be available to the Tohatsu National Dealer Network.  Lakeside Marine Managing Director, Michael Goddard, says “This is an exciting time for both Lakeside Marine and our devoted Tohatsu Dealer Network - it provides an opportunity for the Tohatsu Brand to move out of the shadows and into the mainstream Market.   For many years Tohatsu Dealers have been forced to deal with other Brands to satisfy theirs, and consumers larger Horsepower needs, now this will no longer be the case. “

 

Production of the Tohatsu branded engines shall commence from November 2013, with expected arrival in the Australian Market early in the New Year – 2014.  Goddard says “What this means for consumers is that loyal Tohatsu Owners will no longer have to make a brand change just because they are moving into a larger craft requiring the larger horsepower brackets.”

 

The Tohatsu Outboard Range will soon be complete with 2.5hp through to 250hp, with all 3 Technology options.

 

2.5hp – 140hp 2-Stroke Conventional Models

40hp – 115hp 2-Stroke Direct Injection Models - TLDI

2.5hp – 250hp 4-Stroke Models
